RAWALPINDI: Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry has said those awaiting a conflict between the judiciary and the executive would be disappointed as now there is no chance of it at all.Addressing a function organised by the District Bar Rawalpindi here on Monday, the chief justice said if all sections of the society as well as the state perform their duties in their respective ambits, the train of democracy would never be derailed.
The function was organised to celebrate the restoration of Iftikhar Chaudhry as the chief justice of Pakistan by a Supreme Court bench, headed by Justice Khalilur Rehman Ramday, on July 20, 2007. The CJ said the nation has to show great courage and consistency to reach its destination. He said real success would be achieved when the common man gets justice at his doorstep.
