KARACHI: Advisor to Prime Minister on Finance Shaukat Tareen has been elected unopposed as Senator from Sindh.Shaukat Tareen elected unopposed on the seat of upper House of the Parliament reserved for Technocrats from Sindh province as no any candidate filed nomination against his candidature, says the channel.
The seat was laid vacant as Dr Javed Laghari who had been elected on the Pakistan People’s Party ticket in 2006 resigned on July 21.
