• Musharraf Denied His Involvement in BB Murder Case

LONDON: Former President General (rtd) Pervez Musharraf said he was not involved in Benazir Bhutto’s murder and the allegations on him regarding not providing the security to her are quite unsubstantiated.Addressing a ceremony here, he said getting UN body to probe Benazir Bhutto’s murder is tantamount to no trust on national agencies, adding the world body will have the same finding, as was unfolded by Scotland Yard in their probe.
Musharraf said the war against Al-Qaeda and Taliban is in the interest of Pakistan and the military succeeded against terrorists in Swat, adding now the Army should focus on Waziristan and other tribal areas.
He said the extremism is a mindset, which could not be fought back except with a long-term strategy, adding the extremism is flourishing in India as well, which has its basis in violation of human rights and unemployment among Muslims.
Pervez Musharraf said he does not want to say anything regarding the release of Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif in plane-hijacking case, as his book offers enough answer to it.
Regarding reinstatement of Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammed Chaudhry, he said he does not want to peep into past.
