Swat: Security forces arrested 18 militants during the counterinsurgency operation in Swat and Malakand during last 24 hours. Two militants and two security men were also killed in fighting, military spokesman said.
According to the spokesman 15 militants were arrested from Char Bagh area of Swat, while eight tunnels and 12 bunkers were destroyed.
The forces also cleared Akhun Baba area near Aluch, he said.
Two security men were martyred in the valley of Peochar when their vehicle hit a landmine.
The forces also conducted search operations in Chakdarra, Spantar, Kanju and Kabal.
According to the spokesman two militants were arrested with arms from Qanbar Bazaar in Dir.
The tribal Lashkar killed two militants and wounded two others in fighting near Lal Qalaa, spokesman said.
