Case Of Adhoc Judges Hearing Postpone

ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court of Pakistan on Thursday adjourned the hearing of the appeal against Sindh High Court verdict with regard to the appointment of two SHC judges-Justice Pir Mahar Ali Shah and Justice Binyamin – till July 27.
Justice Pir Mahar Ali Shah’s counsel Waseem Sajjad in his arguments said that there were differences of opinion between the Chief Justice of Pakistan and the Sindh High Court Chief Justice over his appointment. The stance of the CJP should have been accepted in case of the differences who had recommended extension in the service of Justice Pir Mahar Ali Shah, the counsel said.
The counsel of Justice Binyamin, Malik Mohammed Qayyum said there was no opposition over the appointment of Justice Binyamin even the Sindh High Court, Governor of Sindh and the Chief Justice of Supreme Court were unanimous for his appointment as permanent judge, but on the plea of Sindh High Court he was made from regular to additional judge, which is violation of the constitution.
Malik Qayyum also requested the court to call the record of the appointment of the judges.
